Raleigh Stormwater crews will begin construction the week of September 23, 2024, depending on weather and the ability to obtain supplies.

What We Will Do

• Abandon the existing 15-inch pipe on multiple residential properties
• Install a new 18-inch pipe along the west side right-of-way along Courtland Drive and down the south side Mulberry Street and tie into an existing pipe that crosses Mulberry Street

What You Can Expect

• We are planning for total construction to be approximately eight to ten weeks depending on weather, to be completed during the week of November 25, 2024.
• Work hours will be Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no work scheduled on the weekend, except in an emergency or with prior approval from the City. You will be notified if such schedule changes need to take place.

Road Closures

We will have to close the road to through traffic during construction. Detours will be added to divert traffic around the construction area. Local residents will have access to their driveways and will be able to come and go as needed except when the pipe installation directly impacts their driveways. Those residents will be notified during those temporary times so they can make alternative parking arrangements.

There will be no parking on the street within the construction area for the duration of construction.
