Upcoming Engagement Opportunities
The Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board has recommended approval of the River Cane Wetland Park schematic design. The project will be presented to City Council on Tuesday, May 6 at 1 p.m. in City Council Chambers at the Raleigh Municipal Building (222 W Hargett St.).

In addition, the Public Art and Design Board will review draft public art concepts for the park on Monday, May 27, from 5 to 6 p.m. at John Chavis Memorial Park Community Center (505 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd). A virtual attendance option is also available.

Project Overview
The River Cane Wetland Park is a vacant parcel located at 4700 Kyle Drive, near the intersection of Louisburg Road (U.S. Highway 401) and Valley Stream Drive. This future park site is 27.25 acres and is located along the Beaverdam Creek Greenway Corridor.
