Community Response Team

A team of peer support specialists

The City is currently working with Wake County and other community partners to develop an alternative first response to crisis situations. This is often a response team of professionals who provide direct support for community members. This may include mental health or substance use counseling. It can also mean coordination of resources from multiple agencies, or a connection to them. Teams in other areas include clinicians and peer support. Discussions will continue in 2025.
