The stormwater fee rate is based on the amount of impervious surface – or hard surfaces like rooftops and driveways – on your property.

The approved stormwater fee is a 4% (percent) increase from the FY 2024 rate. This rate varies based on the size of the property and is solely based on the amount of impervious surface.

How to calculate the fee rate:

Commercial Fee = [Amount of Impervious Surface / 1 Single Family Equivalent Unit (SFEU)] X Approved Stormwater Fee Rate per SFEU

The 1 Single Family Equivalent Unit (SFEU) is 2,260 SQFT and the Approved Stormwater Fee Rate per SFEU is $7.65.

Example: A commercial Property has 47,303 SF of impervious surface.

Stormwater Monthly Fee = (47,303/2,260) X $7.65

Stormwater Monthly Fee = $160.12
