Construction Updates  

September 24, 2024

The City's construction contractor is finishing up the clearing and grubbing process. They are also working on curb and gutter, pavement widening, sidewalks, and curb ramps.

With the heavy rainfall, crews ae using temporary seeding to help mitigate runoff and erosion. Storm drain installation is still in progress. Water and sewer installation will begin soon.

A lot of construction activity is taking place along Blue Ridge Road between Duraleigh Road and Home Wood Banks Drive. Crews installed a three-way stop at Home Woods Bank Drive and continue to work on installing the new stormwater devices there. 

Signal work is taking place at the intersection of Glen Eden Drive and Blue Ridge Road. The signal wires are underground and require excavation. While this work is completed, some lane shifts may also be needed. 

Clearing work is progressing. Most of the tree removal is completed, and now the team is working on stump removal and grading operations.
