As presented at a recent budget work session, the Budget and Management Services team shared how engagement for the City’s FY2025 started earlier than ever this year. Thousands of residents gave their input in the first-of-its-kind participatory budgeting pilot.
The full engagement summary is ready. It details the listening sessions, outreach, and results of the survey. Residents voted on 19 projects and ultimately decided how to spend $1,000,000 in capital funding, or $200,000 per district.
The City would like to thank everyone who attended a listening session or voted in the survey. Your input is invaluable. We look forward to more participatory efforts in the future as we continue to build a budget, and a city, that is reflective of our community’s priorities.
