City Council adopted Raleigh's Community Climate Action Plan (CCAP) in 2021. CCAP lays out a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 80% by 2050; address equity, environmental justice and community health; and build community resilience to the impacts of climate change.

Bio-Energy Project to Fuel Up to 50 Buses a Year
The City is currently building a Bio-Energy Facility, to convert solid waste into a renewable natural gas (RNG) for City buses.

Rainwater Rewards Program
The Rain Water Rewards program provides funding for projects that capture and clean rainwater before it goes into storm drains and local waterways. You can receive up to 90 percent reimbursement for a project.
