On September 3, 2024, City Council adopted the new Stormwater Design Manual (TC-1A-24) and the associated UDO Text Changes (TC-1B-24). These updated requirements for development projects will become effective on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
In advance of the effective date, Raleigh Stormwater is holding two training events for different audiences. Both trainings will be recorded and made available online.
Training for Home Builders
Stormwater Regulations Update for Home Builders covered new items related to developing residential lots under 1 acre. This will be most useful for small-scale home builders and for contractors doing large additions or accessory structures.
Stormwater Design Manual Training for Designers focused on changes to the stormwater requirements in site design, including stormwater conveyance, stormwater control measures, easement boundaries, and flood studies. The target audience was engineers, landscape architects, soil scientists, and surveyors.
