Regional Creek Week 2025 Summary

Raleigh Stormwater is collaborating with other agencies across NC and the Clean Water Education Partnership (CWEP) to celebrate Regional Creek Week! We hosted events, workshops, and other activities to promote healthy creeks, streams, and rivers!

Stream Cleanups

  • 116 volunteers participated in 7 total events (including resident-led adopt a stream cleanups)
  • 3,103 pounds of trash collected throughout Raleigh streams

Workshops

  • 22 participants at the Lions Park Mosaic Workshop
  • 7 participants at the Rain Garden/Rain Barrel Workshop

Biothon Bingo

  • 8 in-person and 35 remote participants
  • 42 observations and 29 species identified. View the results!

Streambank Planting

  • 26 volunteers and 450 live stakes planted at Durant Nature Preserve
