Reclaiming Property Location and Hours of Operation

The Evidence Unit receives and securely stores all found property and evidence. It is open to the public to reclaim their lost or stolen items after they have been released by the investigating officer or detective.

Reclaiming Property

When you receive a notification letter that your property is ready to pick up, you must

  • Come in person
  • Produce a photocopy of identification such as a driver's license

The Unit releases property on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment only. If you do not reclaim your property within 180 days of the letter of notification, the department will dispose of it in accordance with governing legislation or court order.

Location and Hours of Operation

Downtown District

  • Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
  • Closed 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. for lunch
  • Closed on all holidays and weekends
