The City of Raleigh’s firefighter recruit application process is open until Oct 10. A part of the process is the physical agility test.

To be considered for selection to the Raleigh Fire Academy, applicants must pass the physical agility test conducted at the City's fire training center. It consists of a series of physical tasks, such as pull-ups, running and carrying sandbags.

If you want to apply to the Academy, consider preparing for the agility test for safety purposes and to enhance yourself for a higher score. With adequate preparation, the average healthy, fit individual should be able to complete the test safely and satisfactorily. During testing, all procedures will be explained in detail and demonstrated if necessary.

Watch our agility test videos showing all parts of the test and individual parts of the test.
