Some items are outside the scope of curbside service and will not be collected by Solid Waste Services personnel if placed at the curb.
Other local resources will accept certain items listed below. We recommend investigating available resources to learn the best disposal option to fit your needs.
- Cardboard boxes (except boxes properly prepared and placed in your recycle cart)
- Tires (including bicycle tires)
- Car parts (bumpers, car doors, etc.)
- Lawnmowers
- Construction, demolition, and/or remodeling debris, including but not limited to toilets, sinks, mirrors, windows, flooring, carpeting, cabinets, countertops, etc.
- Windows, shower doors, table tops, or mirrors
- Tree limbs larger than five-feet-long or six inches in diameter
- Tree stumps
- Loose leaves
- Contractor materials (sheetrock, concrete, brick, pallets, stone, etc.)
- Treated lumber or wood
- Lithium batteries
- Window and door screens
- Helium and propane tanks
- Pallets
- Shopping carts (Contact Transportation Department)
