Human Services Grant Successes and New Grantees

Sharing FY24 outcomes and FY25 awards

Raleigh's Human Relations Commission makes grant funding recommendations to City Council. Grants are awarded annually to nonprofits providing direct services to low-income residents who identify with targeted groups:

  • Older Adults
  • Youth
  • Housing Insecurity
  • Persons with a Disability
  • Persons with a Substance Use Disorder

These grants demonstrate the City’s commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and ensuring access to essential resources and services.

FY24 Grantees Impact

This past year, the FY24 Human Services Grant has led to remarkable accomplishments in Raleigh. Key highlights include:

  • Service Delivery: Grantees provided over 2,600,000 units of service to residents.
  • Community Outreach: Over 100 outreach events were conducted, broadening our support network.
  • Equity and Inclusion: Initiatives were implemented to address disparities and ensure accessibility for all, including individuals with disabilities.
  • Innovation and Resilience: Grantees adapted to evolving community needs with innovative approaches.

The grantees contributions have significantly impacted Raleigh, bringing positive changes and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
