To respond to the evolving needs of residents, Raleigh’s City Council adopted the City’s FY2021-2025 Strategic Plan in October 2020. The Strategic Plan is a living document that reflects City Council and organizational priorities and subsequently influences staff efforts and resource alignments. The plan’s overarching key focus areas and underlying objectives, initiatives, and performance measures allow the City to be transparent about its goals, focused in our efforts, and accountable for plan implementation.
On an annual basis, staff proposes revisions to preserve the Strategic Plan’s relevancy. At the April 18 Council Meeting, Raleigh’s City Council adopted revisions to the City’s Strategic Plan. Approved revisions are intended to restructure initiatives to better leverage existing resources, update initiative language to better reflect the work staff is pursuing, or mark initiatives complete.
