The Fair Housing Hearing Board works to improve public awareness of the City's Fair Housing Ordinance, which prohibits discrimination in housing opportunities on the basis of race, color, religion, family status, disability, national origin, or sex.
Meetings
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. and are open to the public.

Public Comment via Phone
In addition to in-person public comment, the Fair Housing Hearing Board also provides a telephone option. To leave a public comment for the Fair Housing Hearing Board via phone, call 855-925-2801 and enter code 8302. Voicemails are accepted for a period of 4 days prior to the Board's meeting.
The Fair Housing Hearing Board’s public comment line opens at 5 p.m. on the Friday prior to the meeting and closes at 5 p.m. on the Tuesday before the Board’s regular monthly meeting. Please note that 1 comment is allowed per person per meeting and the limit for public comments is 3 minutes.

“Where Do We Go From Here? Understanding the Expiring Eviction Moratorium” Panel Discussion
The Raleigh Fair Housing Hearing Board partnered with Legal Aid of North Carolina to share information and resources with residents that may be adversely affected by the expiration of the CDC's eviction moratorium. Extensions for the protections of the CDC eviction moratorium have expired. Please see the recording below to view the panel discussion.
