The Office of Community Engagement (OCE) is launching a summer engagement campaign! Staff will be hosting 14 pop-up events, from June through August, using our community engagement van. Several local organizations will join us, including Refund Raleigh, El Pueblo, and Refugee Hope Partners.
Members of our community engagement board will also join us at a few of the events.
Our goal is twofold:
- Deliver information and resources directly to underserved communities, thereby reducing barriers to public participation.
- Promote face-to-face interactions with residents to foster relationships and increase trust.
Staff will offer a variety of services at these pop-up events including:
- Education on City resources;
- Information on local organizations;
- Voter education and registration;
- Take a survey;
- Making citizen service requests;
- Registering for a City of Raleigh class; and,
- Much more!
