The Community Engagement Board will help to develop, evaluate, and implement the City of Raleigh’s community engagement efforts.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Community Engagement Board is to nurture a City-wide approach to community engagement that promotes radical inclusion through trust, transparency, and mutual respect.
Responsibilities
- Review existing community engagement policies, practices, procedures, etc., and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Elevate the voices and needs of communities that have historically been marginalized within government decision-making processes.
- Advise and assist the City in connection with the development and implementation of equitable community engagement strategies.
- Assist with public outreach to community members and convene stakeholders to promote opportunities for engagement.

The meeting is open to the public - we look forward to hearing your valuable input!
When: Second Wednesday of every month, unless otherwise noted
Time: 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Public comment begins promptly at 4:35 p.m.
Location: Meetings for 2025 will be held at the Raleigh Municipal Building (RMB)

Note: The Annual Retreat will be held elsewhere.
