The Community Engagement Board will help to develop, evaluate, and implement the City of Raleigh’s community engagement efforts.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Community Engagement Board is to nurture a City-wide approach to community engagement that promotes radical inclusion through trust, transparency, and mutual respect.
Responsibilities
- Review existing community engagement policies, practices, procedures, etc. and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Elevate the voices and needs of communities that have historically been marginalized within government decision-making processes.
- Advise and assist the City in connection with the development and implementation of equitable community engagement strategies.
- Assist with public outreach to community members and convene stakeholders to promote opportunities for engagement.
Meetings
The committee typically meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 4:30 p.m., unless otherwise specified. Please note that locations and times are subject to change. Refer to the calendar for the most up-to-date information.
