Active volunteerism helps our community thrive. The City is committed to providing funding and guidance to enhance service opportunities. During National Volunteer Month in April, local non-profit organizations were invited to apply for a $1,000 award designed to enhance volunteer recruitment, retention, and recognition through the Volunteer Raleigh Enrichment Fund.
We received dozens of applications from organizations doing important work in our community and are pleased to announce this year's Volunteer Raleigh Enrichment Fund awardees:

The non-profit organizations listed above each received an award of $1,000 to support volunteerism in their organization through one or more of the following areas:
- Volunteer Recognition: To create opportunities or events to show volunteer appreciation.
- Volunteer Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: To diversify and expand volunteerism in under-represented communities.
- Volunteer Digital Storytelling: To create opportunities to share volunteer stories through a digital format.
- Volunteer Supplies/Resources: To support volunteerism through the purchase of materials needed to complete.
The funds enable organizations to carry out projects that they have initiated to support volunteers who serve in a variety of settings, including the arts, community outreach, public health, social justice, education and youth, economic impact, and environmental impact.
