This funding will support 20 students in Partnership Raleigh’s Community Climate Internship Program and Conservation Intern Program. These 8-to-10-week internship programs provide valuable work experience to high school and college students in the City of Raleigh. Their work carries out the goals of the Raleigh Community Climate Action Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, address climate equity, build community resilience, and learn more about natural resources and environmental fields.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Bank of America. Their trust in our programs and renewed commitment to area youth will help us continue to provide these amazing paid internship opportunities,” said Cathey Ector-Cox, Youth Services and Raleigh Pathways Center Manager.

Bank of America employees will volunteer to teach this year’s students financial literacy education from the company’s Better Money Habits curriculum.

“We are committed to supporting our community’s young people and their families, which includes investing in education, youth employment and financial literacy,” said Kari Stoltz, president, Bank of America of the Triangle. “Our Better Money Habits resources and guidance are based on research focused on understanding all generations’ financial motives and barriers. This tailored approach allows our teams to empower everyone, especially the next generation and diverse communities, as they embark on their financial journeys.”

This program was made possible in partnership with the City of Oaks Foundation, a private 501(c)(3) organization working with the City of Raleigh to advance charitable purposes within the City
