Level II Neighborhood Art Funds

Requests for funding will be approved or rejected within three weeks of submittal.
Neighborhood groups must provide a match of at least 50 percent of the costs of a project.
A match can be a combination of volunteer labor, in-kind contributions, fundraising and other types of donations, including material, professional services, and cash.

The maximum funding level is $1,000. Matching is required.

Project Requirements

Provide a public benefit.
Be free, open to all members of the community.
Be visible and accessible by the public.
Be non-partisan
Emphasize collaboration, with ideas initiated, approved, planned, and implemented by the neighbors and community members who will be affected by the project.
Demonstrate community involvement and interest.
Occur within the boundaries of the City of Raleigh limits or its extraterritorial jurisdiction.

Level ll funding is only available to organizations currently registered on the Raleigh Neighborhood Registry, including neighborhood and homeowners associations, garden clubs and community watch groups.
Demonstration of community input and involvement that shows that the project will benefit the neighborhood.

Completed applications will be accepted throughout the year, on an on-going basis.
Your applications must be received at least six weeks before the start of a project. Funding is not provided for completed projects or for projects that have already begun once the application has been submitted.
Within three weeks of receiving an application, the Community Engagement Division of the Housing and Neighborhoods Department will decide whether to approve funding.
After the project has been completed, a final report must be submitted by the organization or group receiving Neighborhood Art Funds to the Community Engagement Division.
