City of Raleigh Chief Information Security Office (CISO) Marina Kelly was announced as one of the winners for the inaugural CISOs Top 100 Accelerated CISOs Awards (A100). This award honors innovative leaders who are shaping the fast-changing future of the cybersecurity industry.
This groundbreaking, merit-based recognition program, highlights a diverse group of CISOs with less than five years in their role who have shown to possess the skills and acumen to lead the industry into the next generation. They demonstrate a commitment to giving back to an industry that both depends and thrives on collaboration. More than 400 applicants were submitted for the A100 award.
"I am honored to receive the A100 Award,” said City CISO Kelly. “To be recognized by those who share the same passion and dedication to protecting our digital world is humbling. This award is a testament to the power of collaboration and teamwork in our industry and in the City of Raleigh. Together, we are stronger, and I look forward to continuing our collective efforts to drive innovation, security, and resilience.”
Distinguished veteran CISOs made up the Board of Judges for this award, and nominees were evaluated solely on merit, highlighting the award's commitment to integrity and accessibility. Key benchmarks that were considered included service in the role of CISO at an end-user enterprise or organization for less than five years; involvement and leadership roles in professional organizations; and security-related volunteering, activism and mentoring.
